YOUR VOICE IS MAKING A HUGE IMPACT

Friends,

As another year closes I continue to be humbled. Words are not enough to express the gratefulness I feel as I watch our community support this vision overwhelmingly. Every year since founding we have grown boldly. 2014 was no different.

With your help in 2014, My Voice Music:

      • Built a recording studio in SE Portland…we call it MVM Studios, and we are already recording some of our students’ original full-length albums!

      • Served nearly 2,000 youth through partnerships with organizations including Caldera, Friends of the Children, Albertina Kerr Centers, Morrison Child and Family, Mt. Scott Learning Center, the Right Brain Initiative, and others

      • Received the “Top of The Class” award for “innovative after-school programming” by the National After School Association. (We were one of 32 organizations nationally to be awarded!)

      • Hosted rock camps out of MVM Studios for 80 aspiring rockers.

      • Provided paid stipends for our High School Student Leaders.

In 2015 we will begin to grow year-round programs out of MVM Studios targeting high-school-aged musicians ready to begin recording, engineering, mixing and performing. We will do this while expanding our therapeutic programs and philosophy to even more organizations serving youth in crisis.

I am continually inspired by the youth at My Voice Music, by our staff, our volunteers, and our supporters. We are, all of us, a community of people working to find, to refine, and to share our voices. We
are blessed through this process to the extent we are willing to be vulnerable, to introspect, to share.

Thank you for generously sharing your voice with My Voice Music this year. The growth I see in our youth, in our organization, and even in myself, could not happen without such a rich community contributing to this mission.

Best wishes, and with much gratitude,
