My Voice Music is offering an after school Open Studio program. The program offers middle and high school-aged youth the opportunity to explore music at our studio: Learn an instrument, write and record songs, and collaborate with others.

Time: 3:00-6:00pm
Ages: 12-18 (middle school and high school)
Cost: $150 Season / $25 Drop-in / Scholarships

  • MVM’s Open Studio program offers middle and high school aged youth the opportunity to explore music at our studio space: Learn an instrument, write and record songs, and collaborate with others. The Open Studio offers a safe space for youth to gather after school.

  • Open Studio operates out of MVM Studios located at 8911 SE Stark in Portland. The program is offered Thursdays from 3:00-6:00pm.

  • Middle and high schoolers: Students in grades 6-12.

  • MVM will have trained staff on hand to supervise and facilitate the Open Studio program. Each participant will be checked in and out of the building and our "rule of three" policy will be observed at all times, meaning there are always three My Voice Music participants or staff in any room at any time.

  • $150 Season / $25 Drop-in or any price with a Play It Forward Scholarship

  • MVM Studios is a playground for musicians of all skill levels! We have four rooms dedicated to music production and rehearsal, electric and acoustic guitars and basses, drum sets, keyboards, and other various instruments. Participants can guide their own musical exploration or engage with staff to further their skills in songwriting, instrument playing, recording, and more.

  • There are snacks available to all participants.
