SPRING CLASSES AT MVM STUDIOS

Enrollment for spring classes is now open!

All classes focus on personal and musical development, songwriting, recording, and performing, culminating in a final live showcase at MVM Studios on June 7th.

PRE-AMP I & II

Ages 9-14

Mondays, April 15-June 10

**No class on May 27th (Memorial Day).**

4:30-6:00pm (Pre-AMP I) / 6:30-8:00pm (Pre-AMP II)

Pre-AMP I is a weekly mentorship program. An audition is required unless you are a previous student of Pre-AMP I.

Audition requirements: perform a song (an original or cover) and be prepared to jam with our staff.

Pre-AMP II is a weekly mentorship program for students with or without previous musical experience. Class will be split into two groups: 9-11 year olds and 12-14 year olds.

AMP

Ages 14-17

Tuesdays, April 16-June 4

6:00-8:00pm

In AMP (Artist Mentorship Program), participants meet weekly to collaborate, write, record, and further explore musical concepts with peers and professional working musicians.

Students interested in AMP must complete an interview and audition with instructors in order to enroll in the class. Please email luke@myvoicemusic.org for more information.

TRANSITIONS

Ages 18-24

Wednesdays, April 17-June 5

4:30-6:30pm

This program is for young adults to further explore their artistic development. Participants meet weekly to collaborate, write, record, and explore musical concepts with peers and professional working musicians.

HIP-HOP LAB

Ages 14-18

Fridays, April 19-June 7

4:30-6:30pm

A hands-on class where high school-aged youth will have an opportunity to learn how to make beats, write and record, and freestyle. Students will work alongside local musicians in order to achieve their artist and musical goals.

RECORDING SESSIONS

All ages

NEW! AFTER SCHOOL OPEN STUDIO

Students in grades 6-12

Tuesdays and Thursdays, 3:00-6:00pm starting April 2

My Voice Music is offering an after school Open Studio program starting on April 2, 2019. The program offers middle and high school-aged youth the opportunity to explore music at our studio: Learn an instrument, write and record songs, and collaborate with others. See our website for more info.

With our Play It Forward scholarship program, MVM will not turn any youth away for financial reasons. To inquire about Play It Forward scholarships, please email monica@myvoicemusic.org.
