2015 PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS FROM LUKE
Luke Hall is My Voice Music’s Studio Manager and leads a number of programs such as rock camps and AMP. We asked Luke to share some of his favorite moments from 2015. Here are his highlights:
Seeing the AMP band work with Red Fang to write and record a killer song in four hours. AMP and RF were asked to write and record a great song in a short period of time, without ever working together before, and they succeeded massively. The process was enriching, scary, exciting and rewarding for both sides, and the product they created shows that.
Witnessing the Hip-Hop Lab perform at the student showcase at Mississippi Studios was a sight to behold. The group came together and even included the audience in their freestyle cypher, and each individual within the group performed admirably and confidently. They displayed a high level of camaraderie and musical talent.
Again, with the AMP band, their performance at the Crystal Ballroom was explosive. They truly came into their own as a full-on rock band, cohesive in their songs and chemistry. The showmanship was off the charts, looking and sounding like a band that could be headlining arenas.
