ARTIST bio
Born from the My Voice Music AMPLIFY: High School Program, FRENZI is a emerging force in the Portland music scene. Their sound is a nostalgic yet innovative blend inspired by 90s grunge and industrial legends like Filter, Nirvana, and modern alt rockers Wednesday. With an energy that fuses punk's raw edge and melodic sensibility, FRENZI brings a unique flavor to the stage, adding hints of new metal and the catchy, alternative, and sometimes goofy vibe of Weezer.
The band is a vibrant mix of personalities and talents, featuring V Valentine on vocals, Ingrid on bass and vocals, Oz and Aurelio guitars, and Wolfgang on drums. Each member brings a distinct influence and energy, making their music as diverse and dynamic as the colors they evoke: dark red, turquoise, or green, depending on whom you ask. Their sound, described as "sniffworthy," is a sensory experience that leaves a lasting impression. Their signature scent is burning trash and monster energy drinks with a hint of wet dirt.
FRENZI has already made significant strides, appearing on KBOO's Youth Randominium program with Jonas Boone and captivating audiences at notable events like MVM's Sweet Sixteen Gala, Franklin High School's student-organized benefit for children in Gaza, and various community events. Currently, the band is channeling their creative energy into recording their debut album at My Voice Music, which promises to be a powerful addition to their growing legacy.
