“MVM’s passion for music literally bounced from the walls, and promoted an absolutely essential skill: believing in oneself…During MVM classes that I, and other psychologists, educators, and professionals witnessed astonishing things happen: the students were getting along, the residential units they lived in saw a reduction in the number of physical restraints, a surge in students creativity and flexibility, and the development of new, reality-tested and sustainable coping skills.”

“This program literally kept students in school. Students actually said, “I showed up today because of My Voice Music”. Students involved in My Voice Music learned to write music on laptops and record. They wrote their own songs, edited them, and ultimately recorded them. This class soon became one of our most popular classes for many of our most challenging youth to engage. MVM teachers collaborate with both our school and the students to assure a curriculum that is relevant and engaging. They are a group that truly empowers youth with knowledge and inspiration.”
