My Voice Music NEA Funding Rescinded

Friday, May 2nd at 5:20pm My Voice Music joined an expanding list of arts organizations whose funding by the National Endowment of the Arts has been cut. $12k of our $35k award due for services we have already provided is now gone. Any evidence of our balance due has disappeared from their grant system and future funding is unlikely for a grant that we rely on year after year.

NEA funding represents nearly 5% of our budget, which we have relied on for the better part of the last 10 years as a pillar of support for building social and emotional skills through music for youth and young adults experiencing crisis.

As we all face a steady shift/decline from funding sources, your support of arts organizations is more important now than ever.
